Two Weeks in Brazil
I grew up in Rio de Janeiro and during several trips back home to visit my family, I mostly used my time to relax, enjoy the warm sun and go out - a lot - to eat our amazing food! Since my latest trip, I decided to make some changes and became sort of a tourist in my own country.
I go back home quite frequently and usually spend around two weeks in Brazil. Unlike my other Two Week Itinerary Series, I will keep adding to this post as I make my travels and discover new sights and places that are worth exploring!
Rio de Janeiro, RJ - Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná
On my latest trip, I spent around ten days in Rio taking my husband everywhere and discovering some of the best Rio has to offer.
We also took a flight from Rio to the state of Paraná to explore the small town of Foz do Iguaçu and the region’s highlight: The astonishing Cataratas do Iguaçu (Iguazu Falls) located on the Argentinian/Brazilian border.
